A works committee meeting was held on Wednesday 28 May 2014.
The main points discussed were as follows:
– The situation at the plant.
– The organisational transformation project, with a presentation of the different projects by the Sector managers.
The plant’s situation is improving
The delay caused by the industrial action on 7 May has been made up. We would like to thank all the employees for their commitment and their responsiveness in complying with safety rules to get the installations running as quickly as possible.
We have regularly informed our customers of the situation and the impact on deliveries. Delivered customers were reassured to learn of the efforts made to maintain industrial stability. For the customers who were not delivered, we must now be faultless on our delivery lead times and product quality, so that we can continue to supply them this year and especially next year.
Transformation project: answers to the questions on the different projects
Each Sector manager answered the questions put by the different trade unions during the works committee meetings of 7 and 12 May on the projects planned as part of the project to transform the organisation.
The constructive discussions we have had over the last few days have made it possible avoid a strike which would have been very decisive for the plant’s future. We reminded that we want to promote good industrial relations dialogue throughout the process.
A special works committee meeting has been scheduled for 10 June to continue discussions on the projects.
