Today was the 1st of the 3 meetings to negotiate the supporting measures for the voluntary departure plan for the Aluminium Dunkerque organisation transformation project.
Remember that these negotiations, which were the subject of a methods agreement signed by the 4 trade union organisations and senior management, are intended to obtain a majority agreement that would make it possible to improve the presented supporting measures. The supporting measures will only be final at the end of the negotiations.
The meeting took place in a good climate of discussions. Senior management repeated the measures presented in the social part and collected all the trade union proposals.
The following topics were discussed:
- the general principles, including the qualification criteria for voluntary departure measures and a provisional departure timetable
- the mobility measures inside the Group
- the supporting measures outside the Group
- departure compensation
- the supporting measures for long training courses, company creations and retirement
- the roll-out of the Senior Leave scheme.
After a suspension, senior management shared its initial reactions with the trade unions, setting out the guidelines for the meeting on 16 July.
At the next meeting, the details of all these measures will be reviewed, with senior management’s will to provide concrete responses with a view to enriching the social part document.
Next steps:
