Aluminium Dunkerque represents green industry on the ‘Climat Libé Tour’

As part of the Dunkirk leg of the Climat Libé Tour, Guillaume de Goÿs, President of Aluminium Dunkerque, represented industry at a round table discussion on green industry, alongside Clément Beaune, former Minister of Transport, and Aurélie Brunstein, head of heavy industry at the Climate Action Network.

After presenting our decarbonisation project, he emphasised the importance of government support and sustainable access to competitive low-carbon energy in order to make the necessary investments.

He also stressed that it is essential to keep heavy industries in Europe and to decarbonise them, rather than leaving them to countries that are not committed to a virtuous path and on which we would then be dependent for our strategic supplies.
