Aluminium Dunkerque is to build a photovoltaic power plant on its site as part of its drive to accelerate its energy and environmental transition, the Ecological Transition Contract it has signed with the French government and the bill to accelerate the use of renewable energies.
The aim is to cover all the company’s car parks with solar panels for direct self-consumption on site. The plant will produce 3,200 MWh/year.
Construction will be spread over 2024/2025 and represents a budget of around 3.5 million euros.
